From here on out comes the labyrinth of Links...each site has tons of useful information and links of their own.  There is MUCH information about Autism, issues dealing with Autism, services, and treatments that is WAY too much information to put on this page.  This page is to help you access this additional information not included on this site or is Underconstruction on this site and at this time is not accessable.    Pervasive Developmental Disorders National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY) Site that talks about the Pervasive Development Disorders in detail, Including Rett's disorder, Aspergers Disorder, Childhood Degenerative Disorder, and Pervasive Development Disorder NOT Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS).  Site goes into In depth explainations about Symptoms of Autism and treatments for it.  VERY GOOD SITE!!  Pyramid Educational Consultants Founders of PECS Goes into detail on what PECS is all about and how it is used.  Book: Activity Schedules for Children With Autism: Teaching Independent Behavior THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE DOING AN ABA PROGRAM!!  It's also good for those who are not.  It is a easy to understand book about how to do activity scheduals for Autistic children so that they can be more self reliant!  You don't have to be a "Pro" to understand this book. Book: A Picture's Worth: PECS and Other Visual Communication Strategies in Autism Goes more in depth about the use of  PECS as well as other Visiual stratigies used with Autistic children.  VERY helpful!! Childrens Book: My Friend with Autism: A Coloring Book for Peers and Siblings I've started Researching some books for my own family to purchase explaining the disability of Autism.  This one has recieved Rave Reviews thus far, definately will be adding this to my own library and possibly be refering it to the local school. BOOK: Siblings of Children With Autism: A Guide for Familes A Very good book, although I felt it was rather common sense myself.  My husband always is reminding me that what is "Common Sense" for me, doesn't mean it is for everyone else..LOL!  But it is a Definate MUST have for your library if you are a Parent of a Autistic child with siblings.  It makes you more aware about what the other children are going through and what you may have over looked while dealing with the child that has the most need. Childrens Book: Andy and His Yellow Frisbee I have heard RAVE reviews about this book on Autism forums as well as from case management providers.  Definately worth taking a look into! Childrens book: Ian's Walk: A Story About Autism Yet another book I will be adding to my library...another one with good reviews. Book: Ten Things Every Child With Autism Wishes You Knew A Book With RAVE reviews I will be adding to my own library!  Looks great!

Book: Toilet Training for Individuals with Autism and Related Disorders

Provides some great advice to help with toilet training...goes in depth and in detail on use of PECS..etc! Another must have!

Siblings of Children with Disabilities

Has a nice short, but right to the point piece on how an Autistic Sibling can affect the other children.  Definately recommend to read!

Great Site! Goes into detail about Autism, the importance of paying attention to siblings, and Common Co-occuring conditions Autistic Children have!

The GFCF Diet

Talks about the Dietary Intervention For Autistic Spectrum Disorders through the use of the Gluten Free and Casien Free Diet.  I tried to do with this diet myself and thought I saw some improvements...BUT..to follow this Diet...it would have cost me over a Month! It was wayyyyyyy to expensive for my pocket book, being a family of Six all together! Just crazy!
